AFA 2013 Schedule

• 1. Application Deadline : April 30, 2013
• 2. Selection Announcement : July 10, 2013
• 3. Online Pre-production : August 1 ~ September 23, 2013
• 4. AFA Dates : September 26 ~ October 13, 2013

Eligibility

• 1. Who is older than 18 years old, seeking one's dream and future in cinema
• 2. Who has an UN defined Asian nationality or who is an overseas Korean according to Korean law.
• 3. Who has experience in directing, cinematography, editing, production design, sound or producing at least for two short films
• 4. Who can communicate in English
• 5. Who submits all required documents and supporting materials on time
• 6. Who can attend all sessions including online pre-production
• 7. Who has never attended AFA before

Application Materials (all documents should be in English)

• 1. Application form (Download)
• 2. Personal statement
  • - Introduction of yourself in relation to film work
  • - The reason why you wish to attend AFA
  • - Your future plans in film work
• 3. A Letter of Recommendation (should contain recommender's contact information)
• 4. Portfolio DVD (Must have English subtitle, if it is not in English language)

How to apply

• 1. Once you fill out your application form, please submit it by email (afa@biff.kr).
• 2. Application form attached to email shouldn't be transformed into other file format (PDF, JPG, etc).
• 3. Send us required materials to address below.
• 4. Recommendation letter and application form must include writer's signature on them.
• 5. Your submission will be completed when application materials arrive to AFA office on time.
