At the age of 8, back when I still do not have any idea that the words “production” and “design” can go together, I was making a crown for the Prince Charming, transforming a stick to Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and choosing a ball gown from my mom’s closet for Cinderella, for a school play.

It was no surprise that I chose filmmaking as my course at the University of the Philippines. It was there that I realized that I do not only want to be a production designer, I also want to be a director.

Filmmaking is my passion. I cannot imagine myself in another field other than this.
