A graduate in Digital Filmmaking, Shyan Tan has worked on more than a dozen short films as a director or as a cinematographer. He was the first camera assistant to the cinematographer Christopher Doyle. While working with him, Shyan Tan learned to capture subtle nuances of human emotions and convey them through moving images. After graduation, he has worked with acclaimed filmmakers in Singapore. His short film titled Stranded was presented at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner in 2014.
