A graduate in mass communication and video production, Modhura Palit is studying cinematography at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) in Kolkata, where she has been living for years. She has shot in film as well as digital, and has assisted in a number of students films as well. She was part of Looking China Youth Film Project where her film, The Girl Across the Stream, was awarded. Ei Taxi, a short film in which she has worked as an assistant cinematographer has been part of the Cannes Short film section 2015. She is currently working on her dissertation film at SRFTI.
