Yerlan Aigozhinov is a filmmaker and editor from Kazakhstan. He started to edit films while studying in Kazakh National Academy of Arts, where he edited a short documentary entitled House of Mothers (2016), directed by Olga Korotko, along with the short fiction film Ake (2016) by Fariza Tanayeva, and many others. After graduating in 2016, Yerlan continued his editing career, and in 2017 started work as an editor on the feature film Bad Bad Winter (2018) which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2018 Acid Programme. Yerlan is currently working as a director and scriptwriter on a short film about a young Kazakh mathematician.
