Aiza Jane Rimas Idanan graduated with honors from the University of the Philippines Film Institute. Her thesis film, Limang Libo, was the National Winner for the Kodak Filmschool Competition and was one of the finalist in the Young Cinema Category of the Cinemanila Film Festival, both taking
place in 2009. It was her first major directorial film. Ice has experienced a broad spectrum of the filmmaking process, from screenwriting, producing, directing and editing. Many of these were done while helping her friends with their own theses and volunteering for several feature films. Believing in the discipline of shooting in film, she hopes to make another film shot on 16mm in the near future.
