Song Ting is the only Chinese student in her MFA class at Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television (Tisch Asia) of New York University. Before this, Ting went to college in Beijing, China, majoring in English Literature and Finance. She took the opportunity to equip herself with different tools for future filmmaking. Between college and graduate school, she took advantage of several working experiences in various areas such as bank, newspaper and financial company. Ting just started preparing her first feature film. She would like to take AFA as a great opportunity to meet and work with passionate young Asian filmmakers.
