Yeo Ke Liang graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Film from the Puttnam School of Film, where he majored in Production Design. Prior to that, he was trained in Graphic Design, where he was exposed to the world of visual aesthetics. The confluence of design and storytelling attracted him into the field of filmmaking. He has been working in various positions within the art department. As a production designer, he has worked on Timeless directed by K. Rajagopal, which was nominated for Best Art Direction at the 2nd Singapore Short Film Awards. Believing production design plays an integral role in the language of film, he is interested to explore on the relationship between production design and narrative storytelling, pushing the boundaries of production design in films, to create images that will touch the audiences as well as adding value to the story. Being a young filmmaker, he hopes to gain more production experience and exposure with every project he undertakes in the near future.
