Editor and director, Jose Basa has worked as an editor for six years on a number of short films and feature films, such as Sanglaan, which was a finalist at the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, and Juana C. The Movie. His short film, Ampo, was awarded Silvershots Best Short Film at MOV International Film Festival in 2008. In 2013, he directed a short film titled Deathsquad Dogs which won a Special Mention at the Gawad Urian Awards.
