Tin Win Hlaing was born in Yangon, Myanmar in 1991. He has been directing many commercial ads, short films, documentaries, and music videos while sometimes portraying street artists in the capital Yangon for more than 5 years. He established his own production company called Akaya Production in 2016. Tin Win Hlaing has also worked as a cinematographer on several short films including Ok, I Am Fine (2018) directed by Aund Htet, which won the Best Actor Award at the Wathann Film Festival. He has worked with several international post-production teams often as a camera operator, assistant director, and casting director. He is planning to make his feature directorial debut in 2020.
