Rajesh was born in a remote village of Nepal in 1985. A literature graduate, he has been active as a theatre actor and director for the past 10 years. Rajesh has also worked as a production manager in several films including The Black Hen (2015), the first Nepalese feature film ever premiered at Venice Critics’ Week. The film also won the Fedeora award for Best Film. Jaalgedi (A Curious Girl) (2017), was his debut short film as a director. It premiered at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival, and won the Generation Kplus award for Best Short Film in Berlin.
