“My first love was really the camera. I was eight years old when I got the best gift in my entire life: a Kodak instamatic camera from my parents. I took photos everyday: my classmates running around, teachers talking to us, my parents and relatives enjoying a big feast in a reunion. I thought it was great to capture these things. As I went on photographing, I realized that my photographs were memories of a part of my life. And that these memories are stories. And that my photographs tell stories. I started to wonder: if a single photograph can tell a part of the story then a series of photographs can tell the whole story. This started my passion to tell stories.”
