I am Ghafar Azad. Born in Herat, Afghanistan right now I am 22 year old. After 18 years being in Iran I return to Afghanistan with my family.

From childhood I was interested to be a filmmaker. Frontally J. F. Lawton (Hollywood writer, director, and producer) in 2006 came to Afghanistan for holding a short filmmaking workshop. In this workshop I became successful to be attended in the lessons. After finishing his lessons I got a handy cam camera from him. I started filming with my friends by the camera I got as a gift. We made documentaries & short films like (I can do, Kabul stadium, veil, Moving in a circle etc…) I have worked with J. F. Lawton for one year. After that it’s almost one year that I am working in TOLO TV as a screenplay writer & director assistant in first Afghan serial.
