Alex Ruiqing Ma is a China/U.S.-based filmmaker currently working for a multinational cultural corporation. He received his BA in film and his MA in communications from Peking University in Beijing, prior to graduating with his MFA in creative producing from Columbia University. With a wide range of experiences in film and television production, media technologies and marketing communications, Alex has produced projects in Asia, the Americas and the Middle East, and his creative works to date have been screened and awarded internationally. He is also the translator for the Chinese edition of Maureen Ryan’s book, Producer to Producer: A Step-By-Step Guide to Low Budget Independent Film Producing, and served as the Film Panel Director of Columbia China Prospects Conference.
