Boon completed a degree in communication at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in November, where he majored in film and broadcasting. Boon is currently working as Assistant Director and DOP in a local production house in Malaysia. He has been involved in the creative production of competitions, film festivals, documentaries and commercial works as a director, editor and also a cinematographer. He believes that as a cinematographer, his job is to create the atmosphere that journeys a viewer through a story.
