Katsura Murata is a Director, Writer and Cinematographer, based in Tokyo, Japan.

She graduated with a Master’s degree in Film Making from London Film School in 2006. Her graduation film, “ZEKUU” was invited to several film festivals all over the world. After coming back to Japan, She learned camera skills/knowledge at JSC (Japanese Society of Cinematographers) for a year.

Now, she is working as an AC and AD to gain her experience in the Japanese Film Industry. At the same time she has been writing her own scripts to aim to shoot her first feature.
