Zay Yar Aung@We Ra has always been interested in film-making since he was young. This inquisitive mind led him to join many film-making workshops. He went to Japan to participate in 2009 Japan-Mekong Children Film Festival. Then, in 2012, he participated ASEAN-R.O.Korea Film Leaders Incubator:FLY program, in Philippines. He won Creativity and Artistic Talents Award from this program. In 2013, he participated ASEAN-Sapporo, Re:J Film-making Workshop in Hokkaido, Japan and won The Best Team Award. Also his Documentary film named Glass Man was selected as one of the top five documentary film from Center For Southeast Asian Studies visual documentary project Kyoto, Japan2013.
