After finishing his MFA degree in Hongkong, Pan Junchun became a cinematographer. In 2016 he, as a cinematographer, was chosen for the Golden Horse Film Academy which was established by Director Hou Hsiao-Hsien. He shot some short films as DOP. In August 2017, he finished his first feature film as DOP. His idol is Mark Lee Pingbin who is a very famous cinematographer. He hopes that he can study step by step and become a unique cinematographer like him. And, he wishes to have different ideas and creativity according each film and script. Meanwhile, he constantly looks for the best ways to apply cinematography and lighting in order to help directors tell their stories well.
