Aung Htet is a young filmmaker getting attention from all the right places. His dream of being a filmmaker led him to study filmmaking at the Myanmar Media Development Center (MMDC). In 2015, he was selected as one out of two Myanmar participants for the ASEAN-ROK Film Leaders Incubator – FLY 2015 Program, where he won the Benex Award. He was also selected as a Myanmar filmmaker to participate in FLY 2016 in Higashikawa, Japan. His short film based on the town earned him a Special Citizenship Award from the Higashikawa government. His short film, Ok, I’m fine (2017) won the Best Actor award at the Wathann Film Festival #7 in Myanmar.
