Ever since going to a video rental shop with his father when he was young, Thirapatana has been in love with film. After four years of study at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Thammasat University, he tried every role in production before realizing that director of photography was the role made for him. He believes framing is magic, because everything the audience sees is set, and yet we can create a real moment from it. His most recent work is a short film entitled Death of the Soundman (2017), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, Orizzonti Section. Based in Thailand, he is working on commercials as an editor and cinematographer.
