Wang Xixi is a Chinese writer and director. She graduated from Beijing Film Academy with a B.A. in Screenwriting in 2014, and received an M.F.A. in Directing and Screenwriting from Columbia University in 2019. Currently, she is teaching at the Department of Screenwriting and Film Studies in Beijing Film Academy. Her films have been screened at major Chinese and international festivals. Xixi is currently developing her first feature, Sisyphus (2019), which was officially selected by the FIRST Financing Forum of the FIRST International Film Festival 2019. In May 2019, her MFA thesis film, Greenhouse (2019), has won the Vimeo Award for Best Director, IFP Audience Award, and Jury Selects at Columbia University Film Festival.
